Physics

Cambridge AS Physics encourages a deeper understanding and appreciation of a learner’s physical environment. This stimulates the learner with the opportunity to nurture an informed interest in science and scientific development. The assessed topics will be familiar to students that have completed the Cambridge IGCSE Physics course. The baseline test will assess basic knowledge, concepts and skills to determine if the learner is adequately prepared to successfully complete the AS Physics curriculum.  

For AS Physics the following basic topics will be assessed in this benchmark test:

·       Distance, speed, acceleration calculations and graphs

·       Forces and dynamics

·       Work and energy

·       Waves theory

·       Trigonometry

·       Electricity

·       Practical circuits

·        Thermal properties and temperature

·       Nuclear Physics

·       Radioactivity
