Year 10/11 GCSE/IGCSE Physics baseline Assessments

Cambridge GCSE & iGCSE Physics encourages a deeper understanding and appreciation of a learner’s physical environment. This stimulates the learner with the opportunity to nurture an informed interest in science and scientific development. The assessed topics will be familiar to students that have completed the Cambridge Lower Secondary Science courses (Stage 7, 8 and 9). The baseline test will assess basic knowledge, concepts and skills to determine if the learner is adequately prepared to successfully complete the IGCSE Physics curriculum.  

For GCSE & iGCSE Physics the following basic topics will be assessed in this benchmark test:

·       Energy

·       Electricity

·       States of matter

·       Atomic structure

·       Space physics

·       Sound and light waves
